Indecision hurts more than bad decisions

“You are this company’s bottle neck!”
This is what my cofounder told me earlier this week.
As hard as it was to swallow that pill, he was right.
Being a perfectionist, I tend to want to do everything myself.
Every time I’m faced with a decision, I think and rationalize it.
I try to do everything myself before outsourcing (if I ever even think about outsourcing my own work!)
The harsh truth is I was taking a long time to make important decisions
I was finding it hard to let go of tasks that someone else can do 10x better than me
And everyone was suffering because of that
Marketing strategy got stalled
Sales get fewer leads because of that
The entire operation suffers
Now, I always try to think about whether a decision is “1-way” door (irreversible) or “2-way door” (reversible)
If it’s reversible, then it should be taken quickly!
Otherwise, I take my time to think
