Work for weeks, or think for some minutes?
Written by Sérgio Ferrás

I just slashed a project timeline by 85% with the same results.
All my website is built in custom code with NextJS.
We are now starting a blog to grow our organic reach.
For maximum SEO results, the blog needs to be under the same domain
And so my first thought was coding the blog myself
- Template Pages
- In-house editor
- Marketing roles
- SEO Optimization
- Etc.
Even with Cursor AI, this would easily take me 3 weeks to get it up and running!
Usually, in times like these my response would be “let’s just start quickly to get there faster!”
But this time, I paused.
I matured the idea for almost a week.
That’s right – an entire WEEK!
Eventually, I found a solution by integrating a WordPress Blog with a redirect
All it took from me was
- 10 lines of code in NextJS to do the redirect
- 2 days to setup the WordPress base styles
Exact same result. 2 weeks of work saved
2 more weeks that I can focus on actual Growth!
Old me would’ve coded it. New me took a week to think.
And that week paid off.

Indecision hurts more than bad decisions
“You are this company’s bottle neck!” This is what my cofounder told me earlier this week. As hard as it was to swallow that pill, he was right. Being a perfectionist, I tend to want to do everything myself. Every time I’m faced with a decision, I think and rationalize it. I try to do …
